ABOUT PUTNAM COUNTY SCHOOLS

Welcome to Putnam County Schools, one of the finest school systems in the state of West Virginia. Putnam County Schools serves more than 9,700 students in grades Pre-K through twelve in 14 elementary schools, 4 middle schools, 4 high schools, and 1 career and technical center. Putnam County Schools is led by Superintendent John Hudson and a five member elected Board of Education.

Putnam County Schools recognizes the right of parents to request and receive information about their children’s classroom teachers and paraprofessionals. Parents may request this information from their child’s school principal.
